OUR STORY
FOUNDATION & HERITAGE
Founded in December 1995, Maison Lagardère is rooted in a legacy of artisanal savoir-faire and a singular vision. Élisabeth B., the visionary founder, began her journey with studies in economics before training in gemology. Her love for gemstones and craftsmanship led her to create her own Maison at just 26 years old. With a bespoke approach and an unwavering attention to detail, she quickly built a loyal and discerning clientele. Personalizing every encounter, she would often visit her clients in the intimacy of their private salons, presenting her creations in a warm and exclusive setting. These authentic beginnings shaped the Maison’s unique identity.
MAISON LAGARDERE THROUGH TIME
Over the years, the Maison continued its journey, remaining true to its values of craftsmanship and personal connection. Facing new challenges, Élisabeth temporarily entrusted the direction of the Maison to her mother in the late 1990s. This continuity allowed the identity of the Maison to endure, leading up to the revival initiated in 2022.
A NEW CHAPTER
It was only in 2022 that Élisabeth took back the reins with renewed ambition: to return to her original passion—craftsmanship, and especially bespoke creation. She made a bold decision: to part ways with Chopard, despite the recognition she had gained there, in order to place artisanal creation back at the heart of the Maison. This return to her roots was accompanied, at the end of 2022, by the integration of two partner brands: BIGLI, for the elegance of its lines, and FOPE, for its technical and aesthetic innovation.
A RENAISSANCE IN THE HEART OF BRUSSELS
Since then, Maison Lagardère has reinvented itself around craftsmanship and bespoke creation. Echoing her early days, Élisabeth chose to add “Maison” to the name, symbolizing a place where every client feels welcomed, like at home, in a warm and intimate atmosphere. Nestled in the heart of Brussels, the boutique has become a true cocoon—reminiscent of the small tea salons where it all began.
“It feels like a newborn—something that once was, but that is now reborn: stronger, more alive, filled with new energy.”
— Élisabeth B.
A PASSION PASSED ON
Today, that same passion lives on through the next generation. Élisabeth’s daughter, Sasha, trained in gemology, has joined the Maison. At just 17 years old, she became the youngest gemologist in Belgium. A promising succession that carries forward the Maison’s commitment to excellence and deep knowledge of gemstones.

Nestled in a luxurious setting within the heart of the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert, the Maison reveals a world where elegance meets history. A haven of peace, where every moment becomes a precious discovery.
